HBOX^®-V is a multi-modal biometric device, combining the iris and the face, to deliver a high level of security with convenience, ease-of-use, high vehicle-throughput, and cost-effectiveness that has, until now, limited the wide spread deployment of biometric security systems.

HBOX^®-V is designed for vehicular access control applications such as entrances/exits of car parks, military bases, and other critical facilities. The primary components of HBOX^®-V are embedded processors, cameras, lenses and IR panels running multiple wavelengths, which are designed specifically by GRI and contained in the HCUBE^TM module.

Just like the HBOX^®, all operating and processing parts of HBOX^®-V, as well as components optimizing camera performance are contained within the housing.

HBOX^®-V measures 25.5“ / 0.65 m x 30.25“ / 0.77 m x 25.24“ / 0.64 m, and can process up to 12 vehicles per minute as the vehicles are moving at speeds of up to 5 MPH.

The technology is entirely seamless to use as all an individual has to do is briefly glance at it while moving towards the HBOX^®-V, without the vehicle having to stop. HBOX^®-V is the fastest biometric vehicular access control device in the market.

HBOX^®-V can be used indoors and outdoors and can be mounted on a wall or stand. HBOX^®-V has a stand-off distance of 46” / 1.17 m, a horizontal capture range of 8.4” / 0.21 m and a vertical capture range of 16” /0.41 m. The technology has “Identification in Anonymity^TM” capability, while enrollment can also be performed by GRI’s HCAM^®.

HBOX^®-V provides identity security through live iris verification:

• A user has to be physically present at time of biometric identification.
• Identity cannot be stolen as credit card numbers; PINs, usernames, and passwords can and are.
• A person with an image of an iris of another person, either in photo or video CANNOT commit fraud by pretending to be the actual owner of the identity.
